COURSE CONTENT :
- Reference Standards
- Qualification of Winch Operators
- Winch Terminology.
- Types of winches including use and operation.
- Towing Winch
- Tugger Winch
- Anchor Handling Winch
- Proximity Hazards and Controls
- General Requirement
- Introduction to components and layout of the Winch System.
- Tension Control and Load Monitoring.
- Emergency functions, including Emergency Release and Emergency Braking.
- Ancillary deck equipment including Kam-fork and towing Pins.
- Theoretical Exam
- Practical Test
TRAINING METHOD:
- The mode of delivery is by PowerPoint presentations/videos/interactions and group exercises.
- A highly participative course, with theoretical assessment
- Objective type of questions for written exam which will be in English.
VENUE:
- On-site (Client premises for Practical)
- In-house (TRE Office Yard)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Age must be 21 years and above. Having experience on winch.

The guided learning time for this qualification is 2 Day.
