BASIC FIRE FIGHTING COURSE
This course is designed for workers who may face exposure to a firefighting hazard. The course provides learners with the basic principles of fire combustion and actions to take on discovering a fire. It also discusses types of fire extinguishers and their operation. Learners will understand the principles of extinguishing fire at work.

- How fires are caused in the workplace
- Components of the fire triangle
- Hazards during or after a fire
- Means of escape
- Methods of fire detection and raising the alarm
- Fire Fighting Equipment
- Employer and Employee responsibilities
TRAINING METHOD:
- The mode of delivery is by PowerPoint presentations/videos/interactions and group exercises.
- A highly participative course, with theoretical assessment
- Objective type of questions for written exam which will be in English.
