Project Engineer – Crane & Lifting

About the Role:
TRE is seeking a Project Engineer – Crane & Lifting to manage and oversee engineering activities related to the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of OFFSHORE CRANES. This role involves working closely with clients and field staff to ensure project success within scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans covering scope, schedules, and resources.
  • Collaborate with clients to define requirements and deliverables.
  • Oversee offshore crane maintenance, repair, and upgrade activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive work packs, including risk assessments, lifting plans, and procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractor inspections and onshore refurbishments.
  • Compile inspection and close-out reports
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions for crane repairs and upgrades.
  • Review and implement engineering drawings and calculations.
  • Prepare lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments for complex operations.
  • Monitor project budgets to ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records for audits and compliance.
  • Prepare detailed reports, job cards, maintenance logs, and close-out documents.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (B.Sc. preferred).
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems is essential for troubleshooting & Maintenance
  • At least 5 years of experience in offshore/onshore lifting operations.
  • Proficiency in writing lifting plans, risk assessments, and supervising critical lifts.
  • Familiarity with Lifting Equipment Regulations and relevant codes/standards.
  • LEEA qualifications will be added advantage
