Main Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Offshore/Marine cranes, with a specific focus on the Rated Capacity Indicator (RCI) / Safe Load Indicator (SLI) system.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities to ensure safe crane operations.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Diagnose electrical faults in the RCI/SLI system, analyze equipment malfunctions, and develop effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure accurate load monitoring.
- Install, calibrate, and upgrade Electrical & RCI/SLI systems on Offshore/Marine cranes, ensuring compatibility and adherence to specifications.
- Assist in the installation of new Electrical systems for Offshore/Marine cranes
- Participate in workshop activities for overhauling & repairing of Crane Components
- Ability to perform Cable termination, hardware installation & the troubleshooting of relays, contactors, motors, transformers & switches
Experience, Competence, Skills and Knowledge
Essential
- At least 5 years of experience in the same field
- 3 years in a lifting equipment environment
- Experience in repair & maintenance of cranes related equipment
- Experience in working to schedules
Preferred
- Experience in offshore service industry or similar environment
- Experience in cranes & lifting equipment maintenance & repair
